Book of Mario - Best story?

This article goes over my personal opinion of a Google Translated version of Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64.

Book of Mario 64 is a story that Google Translate made from Paper Mario 64. It translates Paper Mario 64 through a lot of languages and somehow managed to make a cohesive story out of it, completely changing how everything worked. I am impressed that Google Translate was able to make such an epic story out of this child-friendly game (note: BoM is not child friendly). Let's look into what makes Book of Mario so great.

"Book of Mario 64" focuses on the economic, religious, and ecological situation of the Kingdom of Fungi and the beginning (or early years) of the War, as well as the deep sexual tension between Mario and God Browser." (fandom.com) Book of Mario was announced on April 1st, 2019. As this was April Fools Day, many people were confused on whether it was an April Fools joke or not, considering it took Paper Mario YouTuber Fatguy703 a whole year to start its sequel, Book of Mario: Thousands of Doors.

So what makes Book of Mario 64 so great? Well, let's start with the fact that the characters are changed. Bowser, the king of the koopas, is now Olivier Browser, leader of the KSDs. The Star Spirits, who would usually help Mario along his way, are now the Stellarvinden, a team of stars who possess Mario's corpses for their schemes. Goombario, who usually helps Mario to save Princess Peach, is now Goverman, who helps Mario to spread the word of the Virgin Mary. A lot of characters changed for the better in this story and really help to aid this new story.

Let's move on to the storyline. Paper Mario has a storyline where you save the Star Spirits and save Princess Peach, and possibly the world. However, in Book of Mario, the story is much deeper than that. Mario goes to save the Stellarvinden and are used as a puppet for ruining the world. This story builds among the chapters for the final chapter where you fight Browser and ruin the world. In this story, Browser is a hero, yet he loses, and Mario causes the war in Book of Mario: Thousands of Doors. Browser tries to save Mario and begs him to remember who he is.

That all being said, which is better, Book of Mario 64 or Book of Mario: Thousands of Doors? Thousands of Doors carries over with the war that was caused by Mario eating all the peaches in 64. So which is better? Well, people surely have their own opinions, but my take is that Thousands of Doors is just suddenly epic at the end of the game. Meanwhile, 64 builds throughout the entire story, as you notice something is wrong earlier on in the story, and by the end of it, you know you are not playing as Mario anymore, but rather, his possessed corpse. I personally think Book of Mario 64 is better than Book of Mario: Thousands of Doors.

In conclusion, Book of Mario 64 is an outstanding creation. The characters and the storyline are very well developed, and it was fun to play the game and learn the storyline. I loved how the story just kept developing more and more and I enjoyed every second of it. The best part of this story being so amazing is that nobody thought of it. This is a story that was created entirely by Google Translate, and it's impressive that technology has come this far to be able to create an amazing story from just a translating service.
